Compassionate Care in Perinatal Loss:
An On-Demand Medical Staff Bereavement Training
Hospital Group Licenses & Voucher Incentive Program
About the Course
Compassionate Care in Perinatal Loss is a comprehensive, self-paced training designed to equip healthcare teams with the knowledge and confidence to support families experiencing pregnancy and infant loss. The course focuses on compassionate communication, clinical best practices, and practical ways to provide meaningful, patient-centered care during some of the most difficult moments families face.
The course is delivered online and structured into clear, easy-to-follow modules with simple quizzes and a final assessment, allowing staff to complete it on their own schedule & without the stress of studying for an "exam". It is designed for a wide range of healthcare professionals, including nurses, physicians, social workers, chaplains, and allied health staff involved in perinatal care.
Licenses can be issued to individuals or managed by groups for entire facilities. Hospitals can purchase group licenses for staff with a simple enrollment process and the ability to track participation. This program not only offers essential, CE-appropriate education, but also includes an incentive structure—hospitals can earn Gemma’s Hope store vouchers based on staff completion rates.
It’s a practical, cost-effective way to strengthen your team, improve patient care, and bring additional resources back to the families you serve.
Hospital Group Licenses
Hospitals and healthcare organizations can purchase multiple licenses for Compassionate Care in Perinatal Loss, giving staff access to the course & all content for a full year. Once licenses are purchased, the hospital will receive a unique access code that staff can use to enroll at 100% discount. This makes it simple for hospitals to provide the course to nurses, physicians, social workers, chaplains, and allied health staff without individual payment concerns.
Hospital administrators can request real-time status updates on how many staff have enrolled and how many licenses remain available. Licenses are limited to the number purchased—once they are all used, additional licenses must be purchased to enroll more staff. This ensures transparency and easy tracking for your team.
Voucher Incentive Program
Hospitals can earn vouchers for the Gemma’s Hope store when staff successfully complete the course. To qualify, at least 80% of purchased licenses must be completed with passing grades on all quizzes within the one-year access period. Additionally, at least 10% of those passing participants must be physician-level providers.
When this milestone is reached, the hospital will receive a gift certificate to our store, valued at $10 per passing participant (or 50% of the original license price). If 100% of purchased licenses are completed successfully, the value increases to $12 per participant (or 60% of the purchase price). Gift certificates are valid for up to one year from the date they are issued, giving hospitals flexibility to redeem them for resources, books, or bereavement supplies for families.
