We're seeking donated or low-cost climate-controlled storage space in the greater Charlotte area.
As Gemma's Hope continues to grow, so does the amount of supplies we keep on hand to serve families and hospitals throughout our community. From weighted memory bunnies and miscarriage collection cradles to care package supplies, keepsake items, and event materials, we've officially outgrown our current storage space.
Right now, our inventory is stored in a small donated space, but we've reached the point where it's becoming difficult to organize supplies and prepare orders efficiently. As we continue expanding our hospital partnerships and programs, having a dedicated storage area would help us better serve families while making it easier for our volunteers to assemble and ship resources.
Our current storage space - an upstairs bonus room. The trash bags hold the stuffed animals for our weighted memory bunny program & they get vacuum sealed to save space.
Ideally, the space would include:
- Approximately 200-500 sq ft (we're flexible!)
- Climate-controlled to protect keepsakes and supplies
- Ground-level or elevator access required
- Located within about 20–30 minutes of Charlotte (ideally the LKN, north Charlotte, or Elizabeth/Plaza Midwood areas)
- Doesn't have to be a storage unit specifically, could be an: air conditioned garage, finished basement, unused stairwell area/closet/cubicle/office, guest bedroom, or similar space!

A donated storage space would directly support our mission by allowing us to keep more bereavement resources on hand, respond to hospitals more quickly, and continue serving families experiencing pregnancy and infant loss.
