Gemma’s Hope Receives Best Corporate Partnership Award Alongside KinderMourn & Deloitte

· Media + Outreach,Current Announcements

We are incredibly honored to share that Gemma’s Hope has received the Best Corporate Partnership Award alongside KinderMourn and Deloitte, presented by Share Charlotte, Foundation For The Carolinas, & Ally Bank.

This recognition means so much to us—not simply because we love celebrating the work of Gemma’s Hope, but because it celebrates something we believe deeply in: when nonprofits and businesses come together generously around a shared purpose, the impact can reach so much farther than any one organization could reach alone.

A Partnership Built Around Families

Our partnership with Deloitte has been a wonderful example of what that can look like in action. For the past two years we've assembled furniture, painted walls, and pieced together care packages headed for families who wil need them in their grief.

Deloitte connected with Gemma’s Hope after Lauren, a Deloitte employee, experienced the loss of her first son Daniel in 2024. Lauren received the resources from Gemma's Hope through her hospital and she quickly became involved in the work that we do. She helped collaborate between Deloitte's Annual Impact Day and Gemma's Hope, and together they joined forces with KinderMourn, Charlotte's beloved grief counseling center dedicated to helping grieving children, and parents who are greiving their child. KinderMourn has been a generous and supportive nonprofit partner and we have been honored to both serve them and serve alongside them in this space.

Why Corporate Partnerships Matter

For a small nonprofit like Gemma’s Hope, partnerships like this can make an enormous difference.

Businesses bring resources, people, skills, creativity, and opportunities that nonprofits often could not access on their own. At the same time, nonprofits provide businesses with meaningful ways to turn those resources into tangible community impact.

It becomes a partnership rather than simply a donation. And that distinction matters.

The work we do is deeply personal, and it takes an entire community to make sure families don't have to walk through loss without support. Corporate partners help us expand that community and bring our mission into more workplaces, hospitals, volunteer groups, and ultimately more families' lives.

Thank You, Share Charlotte, Foundation For The Carolinas, KinderMourn & Deloitte

We are so grateful to Share Charlotte and Foundation For The Carolinas for creating opportunities for organizations like ours to connect with businesses that want to make a difference in our community.

We are equally grateful to Deloitte for choosing to invest their time, talent, and energy into the mission of Gemma’s Hope, and to KinderMourn for being such an important part of this shared work.

Receiving this award alongside these incredible organizations is an honor we won't take lightly.

Most importantly, we hope this recognition shines a light on the families at the heart of everything we do.

Because behind every care package, every hospital partnership, every volunteer night, and every corporate partnership is a family who deserves to be shown: you are not alone in your grief and your baby matters.

And we are so grateful that our Charlotte community continues to show us just how much can happen when we choose to show up for one another.
