Bringing Compassionate Care to More Families

We’re taking Gemma’s Hope to the National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA) International Convention & Expo!
From October 26–28, funeral service professionals from across the world will gather at the Charlotte Convention Center for the largest annual funeral service industry event. And this year, Gemma’s Hope will be there, connecting with funeral homes, sharing resources, and building relationships that we hope will help us reach even more families experiencing pregnancy and infant loss.
For our small nonprofit, this is an exciting opportunity to introduce our mission to a new audience and show funeral professionals how we can work together to make compassionate care more accessible.

At Gemma’s Hope, our mission is to support families experiencing pregnancy and infant loss while equipping the professionals who care for them with meaningful resources and tools.
While much of our work has involved supporting families and healthcare professionals, funeral homes are an important part of the journey, too. They often help families navigate the difficult decisions that follow a loss, and we believe they deserve access to resources specifically designed for the unique needs of grieving parents.
That’s why we’re heading to NFDA: to build partnerships, introduce our programs and keepsakes, and help funeral homes discover new ways to support families with compassion and dignity.
We’ll be sharing information about our keepsakes, family resources, and educational opportunities, including ways funeral homes can partner with Gemma’s Hope to bring meaningful support to the families they serve.
We’re especially excited to meet professionals who share our belief that compassionate care should extend beyond the service itself.
Introducing Our Partnership With LuxieCharm
One of the special things we’ll be highlighting at NFDA is our partnership with LuxieCharm, whose work includes creating delicate bereavement gowns for babies.
These gowns address a particularly difficult need: finding appropriately sized clothing for babies who are born extremely prematurely or at very low birth weights. When standard clothing simply doesn’t fit, families and care professionals can face an additional challenge during an already heartbreaking time. Inspired by Gemma's tiny size, the small business owner Christina is a former NICU nurse who created something that would fit every baby.
Through our partnership with LuxieCharm, we’re helping bring awareness to these specialized bereavement gowns and the role they can play in preserving a baby’s dignity.

By connecting LuxieCharm’s specialized product with funeral professionals, we hope to help more families and providers learn that these options exist.
We’re grateful to collaborate with partners who recognize the importance of serving families through even the smallest, most personal details of care. Christina has flown all the way down from Connecticut to join us at the convention and help us with our booth, so we are extremely grateful for her partnership and continued friendship in this journey!
Why This Opportunity Matters to Us
As a nonprofit, opportunities like NFDA represent more than exhibiting at a convention. They’re an investment in the future of our mission.
Every new funeral home that learns about Gemma’s Hope is a potential connection to a family who may need our resources. Every conversation is an opportunity to identify a gap in care, discover a new way to help, or build a partnership that makes compassionate support more accessible.
We want funeral professionals to know that they don’t have to navigate these needs alone. Whether they’re looking for meaningful keepsakes, specialized products, educational resources, or ways to strengthen their approach to pregnancy and infant loss, we want Gemma’s Hope to be a resource they can turn to.
We’re also looking forward to learning from the professionals we meet. Understanding the challenges funeral homes encounter helps us continue developing programs and resources that are practical, meaningful, and responsive to the needs of the families they serve.
Help Us Spread the Word!
We’re excited to bring Gemma’s Hope to NFDA and introduce our work to more of the funeral service community.
If you’re attending the convention, we’d love for you to connect with us! Stop by our booth, learn more about our mission, explore our resources, and tell us about the needs you see in your own work.
And if you’re a funeral professional who won’t be attending, you can still be part of this work. We welcome conversations with funeral homes interested in our products, educational resources, and partnership opportunities.
Every connection helps us move closer to our goal: ensuring that families experiencing pregnancy and infant loss are met with compassion, dignity, and meaningful support.
We’re honored to carry Gemma’s legacy into this space, and we can’t wait to see where these connections lead.
Thank you for being part of the Gemma’s Hope community and helping us reach more families, one connection at a time.
With love and hope,
The Gemma’s Hope Teamnate Care to More Families
